About the Role
The Site Interpreter supports the sitethrough assisting in the display and publication of historical information and materials. The incumbent also performs other associated work including researching and gathering historic information to educate the public through the delivery of educational tours for schools and special interest groups, and through the hosting of children’s birthday parties.

Contract
Casual contract up to 12 months, may be scheduled to work up to 15 hours per week, subject to operational requirements. Hours may vary week to week, and no minimum hours are guaranteed.
Special Conditions
- May be required to participate in responses to state emergencies or associated duties
- Demonstrates ability to work alone and be self-reliant
- You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or provide evidence that you hold a valid working visa that allows you to work in Australia
- Wearing a company uniform during working hours and/or when representing the department is mandatory
- Regular weekend and public holiday work is required as well as being available during peak seasonal times including school holidays
- Prior to being employed, the successful applicant will be required to obtain a National Police Check
- Prior to being employed, the successful applicant will be required to provide a Department of Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. (DEW will cover the cost of renewal)
Remuneration
GSE3 $36.38 min - $36.76 max per hour including 25% casual loadings in lieu of annual leave and sick leave
