The Victorian Environmental Water Holder (VEWH) is seeking a dynamic Partnerships and Communication Officer to help communicate the vital work of improving Victorias rivers, wetlands and floodplains.
In this role, you will: Create engaging content across multiple platforms Support stakeholder engagement and partnerships Coordinate projects and events Provide executive support and assist with issues management Were looking for someone with strong communication skills, stakeholder management experience, and a collaborative approach.
A background in communications, journalism, public relations, or natural resource management is highly desirable.
The Victorian Environmental Water Holder (VEWH) is an independent statutory body responsible for managing Victorias environmental water entitlements, in cooperation with program partners, to improve the environmental health of rivers and wetlands.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications A relevant tertiary qualification or an equivalent accreditation is highly desirable in communication/journalism or working/industry experience in a relevant field (i.e. communication, journalism, public relations/affairs, stakeholder engagement, natural resource management, water).
Understanding of water entitlements, environmental flows and ecology in Victoria would be advantageous.
This is a fixed term position available for a period of 12 months.
The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
