Overview 
Harvey Norman’s IT Department delivers creative, strategic technology solutions and critical projects that support both the Australian business and the global Harvey Norman network with scalable, consistent services. 
Reporting to the SAP Basis Manager and based at Harvey Norman’s Corporate Office, your primary focus will be BAU support across the SAP landscape, ensuring best-practice architecture, resolving technical issues, and optimising application performance. 
Harvey Norman is Australia’s largest retailer of lifestyle products, with nearly 300 stores worldwide. This role is located in Homebush West, with on-site parking or a 10 minute walk from Flemington station.

Responsibilities 
- SAP application installation, upgrades, and regular maintenance. 
- Incident management & management of scheduled tasks. 
- Managing application documentation, backups, and disaster recovery processes. 
- Provide SAP Basis support and coordinate Basis requirements for projects with other infrastructure teams. 
- Oversee all change projects related to the SAP landscape. 
- Assist in development requests & functional system analysts. 
- Manage environment variation within agreed tolerances. 
- Manage all technical responsibilities related to upgrades, support packs, and OSS note applications. 
- Troubleshooting and resolving SAP application and database integrity and performance issues. 
- Performance tuning using appropriate monitoring and troubleshooting tools. 
- Providing proactive guidance and mentoring to the other BASIS members in the team. 
- Provide on-call based support for priority-based incidents. 
About you / Qualifications 
- 5+ years of SAP Basis experience, including hands-on SAP installations and upgrades, incident management, scheduled task oversight, and the ability to clearly articulate backup tools, processes, and disaster recovery procedures. 
- Demonstrable experience in SAP Technologies, including but not limited to NetWeaver, ECC6, BW, HANA, Business Objects, IDM, Solution Manager, Enterprise Portal, Gateway, FIORI, PI, S4HANA Systems. 
- Demonstrated knowledge of AIX/Linux/Windows Operating environments. 
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure and database concepts relevant to SAP environment. 
- DB2 & SQL experience. 
- High availability systems and disaster recovery skills. 
- Technical specification writing and documentation skills. 
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. 
- Ability to work in a 24x7 support (on-call rotation) environment. 
- Security (User/role maintenance) experience will be highly regarded.
