Are you a natural leader with a mix of sales acumen, technical understanding, and people-management skills? We’re looking for a Sales Team Leader to join our fast-growing IT services business and help us scale to the next level.
The Role
As our Sales Team Leader, you will play a role building high-performing sales and service teams while also ensuring our technicians are equipped to upsell value-added solutions in the field. You’ll act as a bridge between sales, operations, and customer support, ensuring every hire is trained, every escalation is handled professionally, and every opportunity to retain or grow customer value is maximised.This is a role for someone who enjoys developing people, solving problems, and driving revenue growth in a structured yet entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Team Recruitment & OnboardingDesign and lead the recruitment process for sales staff and technicians.Conduct structured interviews and make hiring recommendations.Onboard new staff with induction programs that set them up for success.
Training & DevelopmentDeliver regular sales training modules for new and existing staff.Coach technicians to develop customer service and upselling skills.Develop training materials, playbooks, and sales scripts to standardise performance.Run periodic refresher sessions and performance workshops.
Sales & Customer ManagementLead customer retention and escalation handling, ensuring issues are resolved quickly.Monitor KPIs across sales and service teams, and identify areas for improvement.Collaborate with management to refine upsell, cross-sell, and customer retention strategies.Support the rollout of new services, pricing models, and customer offers.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:Experienced in sales leadership, training, or team management.A confident communicator who can coach people with different personalities.Technically aware (doesn’t need to be an engineer, but should understand IT/tech basics).Skilled at problem-solving, handling escalations, and customer retention.Passionate about developing people and building strong teams.Results-driven with a focus on meeting targets and growing revenue.
