Ready to energise your evenings with meaningful teaching work? Join us as a Casual Teacher delivering online classes for students completing the Diploma of Building & Construction. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your real world project experience, inspire emerging professionals, and teach in a flexible online format three nights a week. The role commences in July 2026.
What You'll Do
* Teach online classes Monday 5:30pm – 9.30pm, Tuesday 5:30pm – 9.30pm, and Wednesday 5.30pm – 7.30pm.
* Deliver engaging, high quality content aligned to the course curriculum.
* Support students through their learning journey in a dynamic virtual environment.
* Bring your real world building project experience into the classroom.
* Contribute ideas for continuous improvement of course materials and teaching practices.
Some key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
* Facilitate learning via virtual platforms, ensuring content is clear, industry relevant, and aligned to course requirements.
* Draw on real world construction and project management experience to enrich lessons and support practical understanding.
* Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment supporting diverse learners and encourages student engagement.
* Maintain current industry knowledge by engaging in ongoing professional development, monitoring sector updates, and staying informed on emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes within the building and construction industry.

About You
You're someone who loves sharing knowledge, thrives in digital learning environments and knows construction inside and out. Your practical project experience paired with your teaching expertise makes you the kind of educator students remember. You're collaborative, proactive, and eager to make each class session one students genuinely enjoy.
You Bring:
* A completed Diploma of Building & Construction, Diploma of Project Management (Construction), or similar qualification.
* A completed TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
* Experience leading domestic or commercial building projects as a registered builder or in a project management role.
* Experience delivering online training and facilitating virtual classrooms.
* Experience developing learning materials or assessments would be highly regarded.
* A passion for supporting student success and the creativity to make online learning engaging, interactive, and fun.

Salary Range:
Casual Teacher L1 | $90.07 (teaching) and $61.22 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF4 teaching qualification
Casual Teacher L2 | $93.61 (teaching) and $63.62 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF5 teaching qualification
Casual Teacher L3 | $97.31 (teaching) and $66.10 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF6+ teaching qualification
Superannuation is paid at the current superannuation guarantee rate.
