Urban Forestry Career Opportunity
This 36-month position involves completing a Certificate III in Horticulture - Parks & Gardens while gaining hands-on experience maintaining parks, trees, and green spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
* Record tree species, shrubs, and other plants relevant to the role.
* Assist with storm-related vegetation requests and customer service.
* Help with pruning, planting, and maintaining trees under supervision.
* Enter accurate data into urban forest management systems.
* Report pest and disease issues.
* Support the implementation of the Tree Establishment Program.
* Observe and learn arboricultural contract management.
About the Role:
* Enjoy working outdoors as part of a team.
* Be reliable, motivated, and willing to learn.
* Have basic literacy, numeracy, and computer skills.
* Hold a White Card for construction safety.
* Hold a P1 or higher driver's licence (or be working towards it).
