Payroll & HR Officer (Full time)
Applications are invited for the full time position of Payroll & HR Officer to be based at our Cootamundra Office. The role involves weekly payroll processing, compliance with award entitlements, and providing advice and support within the Human Resources team.
Key responsibilities
* Ensure Council employees are paid in accordance with employment terms and compliance with the Local Government (State) Award, industrial legislation and tax legislation.
* Assist in maintaining Human Resources and Payroll Information databases and employee records.
* Monitor and report on Council's compliance with statutory and legislative requirements relating to payroll, taxation, superannuation and workers compensation.
* Prepare financial returns and reconciliations for payroll systems, including financial reporting of labour expenses.
* Provide high-quality administration services to the Human Resources and Payroll team with a focus on continuous improvement and quality customer service.
* Ensure confidentiality of employee information and records at all times.
Benefits
* Salary range of $1,438.19 - $1,682.84 gross per week
* 12% superannuation.
