Position Overview
This opportunity involves collaborating with leading AI research labs to tackle complex scientific challenges in bioinformatics. The project focuses on building a benchmark to evaluate AI models' capabilities in designing and executing advanced bioinformatics workflows—starting from raw sequencing data and a natural language prompt.
Researchers will contribute by creating benchmark tasks based on real-world, published scientific datasets. The work demands a strong command of bioinformatics tools, deep biological expertise, and rigorous scientific reasoning.
Candidate selection includes a brief 15-minute interview, with decisions typically made within four days of assessment completion.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Currently pursuing or holding an advanced degree (M.S., Ph.D., Postdoctoral Fellow, or equivalent) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or a related quantitative discipline
Proficient in bioinformatics command-line tools
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Role Highlights
