Cochlear Implants SA specializes in hearing implant solutions, including cochlear implants and bone conduction implants, and provides a wide range of hearing and rehabilitation services for people with hearing loss across metropolitan and regional SA. We work closely with hearing aid providers, ENT Surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless and supportive journey from initial assessment to lifetime care.
The Clinical Care Officer is a new role within our team, responsible for engaging with and supporting clients through the cochlear implant pathway with empathy and professionalism. The role also involves community education and raising awareness of hearing implant technology and referral pathways. The role combines client engagement, administrative and clinical support, operational reporting and proactive communication to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in healthcare, business, or a related field
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in client care, healthcare administration, or patient support roles with an understanding of the duty of care owed to clients, including privacy and confidentiality, in a clinical setting
* Excellent communication skills with high emotional intelligence and empathy
* Strong organizational and prioritization skills with ability to work independently
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Experience in the hearing and healthcare industry or audiology, working with people with hearing impairment or other disabilities
* Familiarity with patient care pathways and healthcare systems
* Engagement experience with community or not-for-profit organizations and patient support programs
