Flaming North Fire Protection, a locally owned and operated business based in Cairns, is growing and we have a full-time permanent opportunity available for a Sprinkler Fitters to join our Service & Fire Maintenance team.
Working across a diverse range of sites throughout Far North Queensland, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality fire protection services to our valued clients.
About the Role
Sprinkler Fitter
As a Sprinkler Fitter, you will be responsible for:
* Inspection, testing, and maintenance of special hazard systems, fire sprinklers, hydrants systems, hose reels, and pump systems
* Delivering high-quality workmanship in line with Australian Standards
* Providing strong communication and technical support to clients and internal teams
* Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining strong attention to detail
Key Requirements
* Strong commitment to customer service and communication
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Sound knowledge of Australian Standards and compliance requirements
* Willingness to follow company policies, procedures, and safety practices
* Ability to obtain a current police clearance
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
* Relevant QBCC Licence
* Current C Class Manual Driver’s Licence
* Relevant industry experience (minimum 2+ years preferred)
* Experience with fire protection systems and equipment
* Exposure to hazardous areas (advantageous)
* Experience using systems such as Uptick (highly regarded)
* Strong computer skills ( smartphone )
* A proactive attitude and commitment to safety and quality
