An exciting opportunity exists for a Nurse Practitioner (NLWiC) for the Gympie Nurse Led Walk in Clinic, to improve access to health care and improve long-term health outcomes through assessment and referral for early intervention and treatment of acute conditions. The NLWiC will provide assessment and treatment and advice to adults and children (aged over 2 years) for non-life-threatening episodic injuries and illness. Key Responsibilities include: * Functioning autonomously and collaboratively in an advanced and expanded clinical role. * Use of expanded skills and knowledge in assessment planning and implementation, diagnosis and evaluation of nursing care required. * Assessment and management of recipients of healthcare services using nursing knowledge and skills which may include, but is not limited to: * direct referral of recipients of healthcare services to other healthcare professionals; * prescribing medications, and * ordering and interpreting results of diagnostic investigations. Remuneration value up to $177,797p.a., comprising salary between $149,259 - $155,831p.a. (f/t), or salary rates: $75.27 - $78.59p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 8) (full time or part time position available, hours negotiable).
