Position Details
* Part-time (48 hours per fortnight)
* Community Development Worker Class 2B Year 1-7 (XX7-ON15)

The Department
Alfred Health Carer Services supports individuals who care for others, funded by State and Commonwealth Governments. We deliver programs to carers of people with disabilities, mental illnesses, or chronic conditions, including young carers. Our services are client-centered, timely, and responsive, and are part of Alfred Health’s Home, Acute, and Community program.
The Role
We seek an experienced allied health professional to join our Carer Assessment and Planning team, focusing on disability and mental health. The role involves developing and delivering client-facing programs, identifying and linking carers to appropriate services, and addressing issues through community development practices.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Health, Behavioural Sciences, Social Sciences, or Welfare
* Experience working with carers and families
* Knowledge of disability, mental health, or community services
* Skills in needs assessment, support planning, and emotional support
* Excellent communication skills
* Knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (desirable)
* Working with Children Check
