Project Overview
The Pluto Train 2 project, managed by Woodside Energy, is an expansion of the existing Pluto LNG facility near Karratha, Western Australia. This significant development will increase processing capacity for Scarborough gas, lifting LNG production to approximately 5 million tonnes per annum and expanding domestic gas capacity to 225 terajoules per day. Bechtel has been selected to deliver the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning scope, supporting global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source.

* 68-hour work week
* Fly home on the morning of day 21, paid at ordinary hours — be home on the same day
* Accrued RDO, option to be paid during RNR or at the end of your contract
* Full-time, permanent employment with 4 weeks of annual leave and 10 days of personal leave
* $5.40 per hour site allowance
* $175 per week project incentive payment
* Severance payment of 2× base hourly rate per week

Position Overview
In this position, you will be required to perform:
* Instrument calibrations, loop testing/checking, analyser testing, function testing and troubleshooting instrumentation such as flow, level, temperature, and pressure transmitters
* Shutdown and control valve testing
* Reading, understanding, and following P&IDs, data sheets, calibration reports, loop drawings, cause & effects, and supplier manuals
* Use of various types of tests and calibration equipment
* Loop checking across a wide range of field instrumentation
* Installation of field instruments in accordance with project specifications and standards
* Termination, calibration and verification of instrument wiring and devices
Qualifications and Skills
* Demonstrated experience in a similar position, preferably within the construction industry for a minimum of 3 years
* Cert III or Cert IV Instrumentation (or equivalent)
* WA Electrician's License
* First Aid
* CPR & LVR
* Construction White Card
* Cert IV Hazardous Areas
* Ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screening
* Previous Bechtel/LNG/major project experience is desirable
Additional Information
This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.).
The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products – i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco - are permitted to be brought to the site. Mobile phones and other personal electronic devices – i.e. wireless headphones, iPads, smart watches - are also not permitted on site.
