Job Overview
The Engine Watchkeeper position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the operational efficiency of the ship's engine and mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain propulsion, auxiliary, and ancillary machinery to guarantee seamless vessel operation, adhering to Planned Maintenance System (PMS) requirements.
* Responsible for Deck maintenance and rounds on rotation as required by the Chief Engineer.
* Ensure Self Unloading machinery and equipment are properly maintained to operate efficiently and effectively, in accordance with PMS requirements.
* Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the organization from time to time.
Requirements:
* Hold an Engineer Class 3 certificate, as per AMSA Marine Order 72.
* Have at least 6 months' sea time as an Engine Watchkeeper.
* Hold a Certificate of Safety Training (STCW).
* Be certified in Work Safely at Heights.
* Be certified in Enter and Work in Confined Space.
* Hold a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
* Be an Australian citizen or have unlimited Australian working rights.
* Live in Australia.
