Ritchie Bros. is seeking a highly driven individual to start their sales career as a Trainee Territory Manager, based initially in Geelong, VIC.
You’ll be thoroughly trained to eventually move into a Territory Sales Manager. As a Trainee Territory Manager you’ll be given hands-on learning, surrounding every aspect of the auction business. Postgraduates or candidates with no more than 3 years working experience are eligible to participate in this program. We will train you to become a successful member of our top-tier sales team!

The opportunity
Grab your steel-capped boots! In this program, you’ll train to become a Territory Manager for Ritchie Bros. You’ll be exposed to hands-on learning, surrounding every aspect of the auction business: yard operations, heavy equipment inspections and appraisals, customer service, marketing, and sales and territory management. You will learn how to become a Trusted Advisor and an expert at putting your time and energy where it will have the most impact.
Key requirements for this program include:
· A passion for heavy equipment, and a desire to work in sales.
· We need you to be adventurous and mobile. We may ask you to travel for training purposes or relocate to a new territory once the training program is completed.
· Graduation from a post-secondary education preferred with a major in Sales, Marketing, Commerce or Business Admin.
· You have a track-record of setting your own goals and then meeting or beating them but you never sacrifice your personal integrity along the way.
· You’re a true people person. You have a natural curiosity about absolutely everyone you meet.
· You have a strong learning ability, coupled with a desire to learn more about everything around you.
· You’re a self-starter. Sitting still and waiting to be told what to do next just isn’t in your nature.
· You like to work hard, but still have fun on the job.
It’s important to note that:
· You'll have to maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
