Job Opportunity for Economics and Business Studies Teacher
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher to join our Humanities team at St Andrew's Cathedral School. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing Term 1, 2026.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Economics/Business Studies to senior secondary students in Years 11 and 12. They will also teach Stage 5 elective Commerce and contribute to the development of the HSIE curriculum.
In addition to their teaching responsibilities, the successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with the HSIE team and support the school's Christian mission, values, and ethos.
To be considered for this role, applicants should have recent experience in teaching HSC Economics/Business Studies and/or IB Business Management across Years 11 and 12. They should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as up-to-date knowledge of pedagogy and technology.
Responsibilities:
Teach Economics/Business Studies to senior secondary students in Years 11 and 12.
Teach Stage 5 elective Commerce.
Contribute to the development of the HSIE curriculum.
Collaborate with the HSIE team.
Qualifications/Experience:
Recent experience in teaching HSC Economics/Business Studies and/or IB Business Management across Years 11 and 12.
Ability to teach Stage 5 elective Commerce.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Up-to-date knowledge of pedagogy and technology.
