Salary: $97,955 – $111,142 (plus superannuation) Fixed term role: 1 year Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available) Usual work location: Level 31, 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available) The Role The Adviser, Office of the Chief Executive provides strategic policy and project support to the Chief Executive and leadership team within Creative Victoria. The role contributes expert advice on emerging issues and priorities, supports the delivery of strategic projects and coordinates high-level reporting and information across the Group. Working in a fast-paced policy environment, the Adviser assists with ministerial coordination, parliamentary processes and departmental reporting, while collaborating with teams across Creative Victoria to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality advice and outcomes. The ideal candidate is analytical, organised and solutions-focused, with the ability to contribute to complex projects, manage competing priorities and communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders. Main Accountabilities * Provide expert advice on current and emerging issues and contribute to continuous improvement of policy development, processes and systems. * Support the delivery of strategic projects, including developing project plans and managing risks and issues to ensure objectives are delivered on time and to a high standard. * Coordinate the unit's input into group-wide processes such as PAEC, Parliamentary Questions, Freedom of Information requests and Ministerial briefings. * Manage departmental requests for information, including performance reporting, business planning and contributions to the Department's Annual Report. * Prepare reports, briefings, submissions and correspondence on complex and sensitive issues to support effective decision-making. The Team The position of Adviser, Office of the Chief Executive forms part of the Office of the Chief Executive within the Creative Victoria Group. Creative Victoria is the Victorian Government body responsible for championing, growing and supporting the state's creative industries. The Office of the Chief Executive supports the Chief Executive to lead the Group and deliver the priorities of the Department, Minister and Victorian Government through strategic policy advice, ministerial coordination and public administration. About You You will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise briefs, reports and correspondence tailored to different audiences. You will also bring sound policy capability, including the ability to interpret and apply policy frameworks, undertake research and consult with stakeholders to inform advice. You will have experience contributing to project delivery, including developing project plans, supporting project teams and monitoring progress to ensure objectives are achieved.
