Electrical Technician Underground, Fixed Plant | Olympic Dam | 7/7
Location: Olympic Dam, South Australia, Australia.
This position is based at Olympic Dam operating on a 7/7 day/night roster. Residential, DIDO or FIFO options available.
About the Role
In this role you will be responsible for executing planned and unplanned maintenance activities within an underground mining environment. Your work will contribute to optimal production, equipment performance and availability, and improve reliability to support future growth.
Responsibilities
* Comply with and follow safety and operational standards.
* Carry out unplanned and planned routine maintenance, inspections, and checks on Mine Fixed Plant Electrical Infrastructure and/or Reticulation.
* Assist in resolving electrical issues affecting equipment performance and availability.
* Review and update maintenance schedule plans and equipment history.
* Perform care maintenance tasks within the electrical mine area to ensure reliability and stability.
* Develop and revise operating and maintenance procedures.
* Communicate plant status to appropriate departments.
* Maintain a high level of housekeeping in all work areas.
Qualifications
* Proven commitment to personal wellbeing and ability to speak up for safety.
* Australian recognised Electrical Trade qualification (essential).
* South Australian A-class Electrical Workers licence (or ability to obtain).
* Experience in a similar role with previous mining or heavy industry exposure.
* Experience with underground mining environments (preferred).
* Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
* Ability to make confident decisions or raise issues if needed.
* Adaptable and responsive to change and learning new information.
* Working at Heights, Integrated Tool-carrier (IT) Ticket advantageous.
