Position: Accounts Clerk
Location: Separovic Injury Lawyers, Perth WA
Employment Type 12 Month Contract – Maternity Leave Cover (with potential for ongoing full-time employment)
Flexible Work: Work from home on Mondays and Thursdays
Reports to: Principal / Office Manager / Accounts Manager
The Role
Separovic Injury Lawyers is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Clerk to join our team on a 12 month contract basis to cover our Financial Manager during her maternity leave. Depending on business needs, this role may also lead to a permanent full-time opportunity.
This position offers a dynamic mix of administrative, legal support, and accounts-related responsibilities in a fast-paced legal environment.

About You
We are looking for a candidate with the following attributes:
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks
• Basic understanding of accounts and invoicing processes
• Comfortable using legal practice management software (e.g., Actionstep)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Previous experience in administration or accounts support roles
• Willingness to learn and take initiative
• Professional presentation, conduct, and trustworthiness
Key Responsibilities
• Provide administrative assistance and invoice processing to the Accounts team during the maternity leave period
• Processing Client Settlement Monies and preparing final letters and invoices
• Financial record-keeping and financial reporting
• Oversee daily bookkeeping, including managing trust and practice accounts
• Handle accounts payable and receivable and ensuring there are no financial discrepancies
• Preparation of payroll
• Manage Debtor files
