Key responsibilities include:
* Directing and overseeing a team responsible for fund administration and accounting, ensuring accurate and timely management of fund operations and investment portfolios.
* Calculating and processing investor-related transactions, including distributions, liquidations, and transfers.
* Preparing comprehensive financial reports and detailed Schedules of Investments for each fund.
* Drafting and maintaining loan and investment agreements between funds and associated properties or entities, while monitoring maturity dates and interest accruals.
* Compiling trial balances and general ledgers to support annual tax filings and audit processes for the funds.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role requires strong leadership skills and expertise in fund administration and accounting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Reviewing and working in conjunction with Asset Management and Operations regarding cashflow, return calculations, and disposition of investment positions and proceeds to the fund.
* Monitoring and approval of fund investments and payments.
* Compliance of the fund entities with their Operating Agreement and PPMs, including debt covenants, investor reporting, and any other requirements by custodians/brokers.
* Reviewing investor distribution calculations, fund financials, Trial Balances, reporting packages, and any ad hoc requirements of the funds.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferably.
* 7+ years of relevant experience with Fund Accounting & Administration.
* Ability to work flexible onsite in Charlotte.
