About the position:
The City Precinct - General Hand plays a vital role in ensuring the City Precinct and the HMAS Sydney II Memorial are presented to the highest possible standard. This is achieved through the delivery of consistent, high-quality maintenance services, proactive inspections, and a prompt response to emergencies or incidents.
Key accountabilities:
Maintain the City’s parks, gardens, reserves and other public open spaces to a high standard on a daily basis as directed, including litter collection, turf renovation, fertilising, mowing, slashing tree watering and shrub care.
Provide appealing streetscapes and pathways and clean and maintain as required, inclusive of graffiti removal.
General operation of plant and hand tools, carry out maintenance and/or labour duties as required.

Position requirements:
MR Class Driver’s Licence
White Construction Safety Card
Basic Worksite Traffic Management Certificate
Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration and benefits:
The City Precinct – General Hand position has a salary starting from $76,072 per annum or $38.4981 per hour, offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
