Our Infrastructure and Precincts, Precincts and Venues team provides regionally significant venues that are fully accessible and inclusive to influence and inspire active experiences for Queenslanders.
Sport and Recreation supports and encourages participation and success in sport and active recreation through delivery of grant funding for sport and active recreation organisations and clubs, infrastructure and participation programs, the operation of precincts and venues, and through engaging and partnering with the active industry across Queensland.
We're investing in our community to enrich the Queensland way of life through sport and active recreation, and we're also working to enable Queensland to deliver the Brisbane **** Olympic and Paralympic Games on time and on budget.
This Position Will Give You The Opportunity To
Lead and facilitate quality experiences for individuals and groups in an appropriate manner to ensure safe participation in sport and recreation activities and programs at the Venue.
Supervise the activities of Program Leaders and model a high level of professional and ethical conduct.
Lead the delivery of high-quality customer service and experiences in outdoor recreation programs at the Venue.
Actively contribute toward the development and continuous improvement of a broad range of community-based programs and other initiatives.
Lead the development and implementation of activity specific policies and procedures for the safe, efficient and effective running of the Venue's programs and activities.
Ensure that all aspects of the programs and activities at the Venue comply with workplace health and safety requirements, industry regulations and standards, and the state wide program framework.
Ensure that accompanying teachers / group leaders have a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities while conducting activities at the Venue.
Deliver training and/or quality assurance to team members.
Develop, implement and manage risk management frameworks for recreational activities.
Contribute to a workplace culture based on values and behaviours, ensuring a positive work environment that is safe, healthy, diverse, respectful and inclusive.
