Recovery Strategies Specialist
Metro South Health is Australia's first digital health service and one of the largest in Queensland, with an estimated residential population of approximately one million people or 23 per cent of Queensland's population.
Key Responsibilities:
* Model recovery strategies to enable the assessment, intervention, and referral of consumers admitted to an acute adult inpatient ward.
* Co-ordinate, develop, and implement rehabilitation goals for consumers in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary clinical team.
* Provide consumers with education, information, referrals, and support from personal experience of recovery and utilising mental health services and non-government agencies within an inpatient setting.
* Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to have a personal lived or living experience of mental health (and/or addiction) issues.
* Applicants should hold a Certificate IV in Mental Health, Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work, or Certificate IV in Community Settings, or be working towards obtaining these qualifications.
