Public Transport Services (PTS) is a group that brings together Commercial and Contract Services, Engineering and Asset Management (EAM), Strategy and Network Services and Transport Operations. Together, these branches help keep our city moving.
Whether by bus, CityCat or ferry, e-bike or e-scooter, and Metro, our group manages bus contracts with Translink, ferry, e-mobility scheme and personalised public transport operators, that enable us to support the transport choices of Brisbane residents and visitors.
The Role
As an SME in audit and compliance you will play a critical role in assessing and identifying operational risks and associated treatments. This role will analyse performance data to ascertain trends and then will audit internal controls to evaluate the effectiveness of EAM’S people, processes, systems, assets and to be able to provide professional advice and recommendations on appropriate risk management actions to strengthen EAM. You will be a valued partner engaging with all levels of EAM and various teams across PTS and Council.
About You
To be successful you will have:
- strong analytical skills and considerable experience in summarising complex material, identifying opportunities and developing recommendations
- considerable expertise in utilising best practice compliance and performance management in an asset intensive workplace
- strong verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills
- strong practical problem-solving skills rooted in the use of information management (E.g. data bases and business intelligence tools)
Tertiary qualifications relevant to the role are desirable, however candidates with equivalent experience are highly encouraged to apply.
