As a Radiographer or Sonographer Trainee, you'll be engaged in a range of clinical support activities while refining your skills through hands-on experience. This role offers a unique blend of practical application while you undertake formal, full-time tertiary studies in the relevant entry level qualification, aimed at equipping you with the essential qualifications to become a qualified Health Practitioner in Queensland.
Under the guidance of experienced supervisors, you will deliver Trainee Radiographer or Trainee Sonographer clinical services within the agreed scope of the role, working as member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team. In alignment with the goals and standards of Sunshine Coast Health (SCH) and Queensland Health, you will contribute to effective healthcare delivery and support accurate diagnosis and treatment. Your commitment to excellence will help ensure every patient receives safe, timely, and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Successfully complete (pass or better) all academic and practical requirements of your tertiary study while employed as a Health Practitioner- Radiographer or Sonographer Trainee.
* Work within a scope of practice that is commensurate with the level of knowledge and skill development of current tertiary studies (previously assessed as being competent in).
* Perform a defined range of diagnostic tasks within the scope of practice as delegated by the supervising Health Practitioner.
* Maintain appropriate documentation and patient records in line with Departmental, Unit and Health Service procedures, and contribute to the maintenance of accurate and timely information systems (statistics collection, quality data). Ensure that time spent across clinical and non-clinical work is in keeping with assigned requirements.
Salary rates: $38.69 - $45.51 p.h. employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) (HP1) (casual positions available) Applications will remain current for 12 months.
