About
the Role
As a Land
Development Engineer, you will provide expert civil engineering
advice across major subdivisions and development projects, helping
shape sustainable communities while overseeing the delivery of
civil engineering infrastructure and optimising public asset
outcomes.
Working with
a high degree of professional autonomy, you will assess complex
development proposals, oversee civil engineering compliance, and
provide trusted technical advice to internal teams, developers,
consultants and external agencies.
Key
Responsibilities:-
* Review,
assess and provide recommendations on complex engineering
aspects of town planning referrals e.g., regional, district and
local structure plans, scheme amendments, subdivision and
development applications, and local development
plans.
* Review,
assess and determine complex engineering aspects of developer
gifted assets in accordance with relevant land development
legislation, standards, codes and the City's policies,
procedures and specifications to achieve the best outcomes for
the City e.g., Civil Design Drawings, Subdivision
& Development Water Management Reports, Environmental
Management Plans, and Traffic Management Plans.
* Undertake compliance
inspections and oversee developer civil construction
works
* Provide
specialist advice and guidance to customers and stakeholders on
engineering matters relating to land subdivision and
development
* Process
subdivision clearance applications for compliance with WAPC
conditions and the timely issue of new land titles
* Represent the City at
meetings, site inspections, Joint Development Assessment Panel
and State Administrative Tribunal proceedings
* Collaborate across
multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality development
outcomes.
About
You
You are an
experienced civil engineering professional who enjoys working in a
fast-paced, high-growth environment and brings strong professional
judgement to complex development matters.
You will
have:
* Tertiary
qualification in a relevant discipline such as Civil
Engineering
* Relevant
experience in land development or a similar role
* Advanced
negotiation and influencing skills
* Current
National Construction Induction Certificate (White
Card)
* Current
WA C Class Drivers' Licence.
