Overview
We are looking for a suitably qualified, motivated and enthusiastic Property Services Officer who has knowledge of property and leasing management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and can build rapport with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining positive working relationships.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the effective administration of the City's leases and licences for city‐owned and leased properties.
* Administer expressions of interest and permits for the commercial use of City property.
Qualifications
* A diploma in property management or related fields.
* Substantial experience in a similar role in local, state or federal government or in commercial property management.
* Previous experience in land administration including property leasing and licensing.
* Ability to interpret, understand and explain legal issues relevant to land management, town planning matters and property leases/ licences.
* Knowledge and application of relevant property legislation including the Land Administration Act 1997, the Local Government Act 1995, the Residential Tenancies Act, Commercial Tenancies Agreements Act 1985, Planning and Development Act 2005 and other associated statutes.
* Knowledge of broader property‐related issues including sale and purchase matters and market knowledge relating to investment issues.
