This position qualifies for an annual Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (conditions apply and may be pro-rata’d to your contracted or ordinary working hours, these payments are paid on a fortnightly basis) under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.
This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas Employment Type: Permanent Part Time

What you'll be doing
* Undertake a range of cleaning duties as outlined in a daily schedule, including high level cleaning, outside cleaning, stripping and/or sealing floors, cleaning tooth and vomit bowls and sanitising bed pans and other equipment, to ensure the patient and hospital environment remains clean, safe and attractive
* Porter patients within the facility or campus as requested, for ward transfers, appointments and other needs, to enable the patient to access services as required and to assist with facility bed and resource management
* Provide general assistance in the ward/ facility including moving heavy equipment, making unoccupied beds and loading/ unloading commercial-type washing machines, to ensure the smooth running of the facility
* Undertake securing, watching, guarding and/or protecting functions as directed, including the immediate release of duties to respond to alarm signals and attendances at request of staff, to support the safety and security of people and property within the Health Service

About the Menindee Health Service
Menindee is beautiful little community on the banks of the Darling River and is surrounded by the spectacular Menindee Lakes. The Menindee Health Service is a busy Primary Health Clinic with an Emergency Department as well. We provide chronic disease, community and primary health care services to the community, as well as facilitating a range of visiting services. Our clinic is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. After hours and on weekends an RN is on call for Ambulance and emergencies with a second Ambulance trained staff member. Ambulance training will be provided.

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible:
* Previous experience working in a company or organisation undertaking commercial cleaning or providing general assistance or a similar role.
* Food Safety Certificate or willingness to undertake within six months of employment.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
* Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and take directions from supervisor.
* Ability and willingness to work shifts, on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
* Current security license.
