Alto Construction Equipment (ACE) is a new specialist division of the Alto Group, created to represent XCMG in Sydney as key accounts dealer for construction and earthmoving equipment.
We are establishing a greenfield branch at Mount Kuring-Gai and are looking for an experienced
Branch Manager
to lead the setup, launch and ongoing performance of the site. This is a rare chance to build a business with the backing of an established dealer group and a global OEM.
About ACE and XCMG
ACE will sell and support the full XCMG construction equipment range including excavators, wheel loaders, rollers and other earthmoving products, focused on civil, infrastructure, quarry, waste and key account customers in greater Sydney.
XCMG is one of the world's largest construction machinery manufacturers with a rapidly growing footprint in Australia. You will be the local face of the brand in Sydney, working closely with XCMG Australia on key accounts, product support and growth plans.
ACE is backed by the Alto Group, a long-standing Australian family business with a strong reputation in automotive, finance and rural operations and a significant investment in the new Mount Kuring-Gai facility.
The opportunity
In this role you will
:
* Lead the complete setup of the new branch at Mount Kuring-Gai, including workshop, yard and office readiness
* Own the branch P&L and deliver on agreed volume, gross and ROI targets
* Build, coach and lead a high performing team across sales, service and parts
* Develop and execute the local sales plan for XCMG equipment with a focus on key accounts and repeat business
* Work with Alto Group and XCMG to plan stock, demos, field days and customer events
* Embed strong safety, compliance and customer service standards from day one
* Represent ACE and XCMG with major customers, financiers and industry bodies in NSW
You will have a high level of autonomy to shape the team, processes and local market approach, with direct support from Alto Group leadership and XCMG Australia.
About you
You will likely be in a role such as Branch Manager, Dealer Principal, Sales Manager or Service Manager in one of the following:
* Construction or earthmoving equipment
* Mining, rental or industrial equipment
* Truck or heavy transport dealerships
You will also bring
:
* Proven experience running a branch or large department with P&L accountability
* Strong background in heavy equipment sales, service or aftersales
* Solid understanding of how to manage workshop capacity, field service, parts and machine availability
* Experience working with key account and project customers in civil, infrastructure or resources
* Commercial discipline around forecasting, inventory, margin and working capital
* A hands-on leadership style and the ability to lead from the front in the yard, workshop and with customers
* Commitment to safety, quality and long term customer relationships
Experience with XCMG, LiuGong, SANY and other major OEMs such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, Kobelco, Kubota (construction, mining, ag, truck or attachment brands) will be highly regarded.
