Exciting Career Opportunity – IT Business Support Supervisor

We are a family company delivering fresh produce, nuts, eggs, flowers, plants, and grocery lines to independent retailers throughout Australia since 1993.

The IT Business Support Supervisor is a new role added to our business. We are seeking an IT professional to help implement our new point of sales system and manage all our IT needs within the company. Our office is located at the SA Produce Markets (Burma Road, Pooraka). This position is full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm.

The successful applicant should have experience working in a similar role and possess a high degree of attention to detail. Adaptability to change and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Your responsibilities could include the following:

1. Learning our processes and systems to implement our new point of sales system.
2. Training staff and customers in using the new point of sales system.
3. Implementing new IT ideas to improve workflow and communication within the business and with clients.
4. Problem-solving IT questions and queries from customers and colleagues.
5. Working within our IT network to achieve company goals.
6. Managing daily communication via phone calls, emails, and other channels with customers and colleagues.
7. Traveling locally, regionally, and interstate to train customers on the new point of sales system.
8. Maintaining all IT systems, printers, and software to ensure they are up to date.

Skills and Experience:

1. Excellent understanding of IT and company processes and systems.
2. Experience with point of sales systems in large companies.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Ability to liaise across all levels of staff, management, and customers.
5. Passion, enthusiasm, and a hands-on approach.
6. Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
7. Proactive and self-motivated, with a sense of ownership and responsibility.
8. Retail knowledge and experience preferred.
9. Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
