Role Overview
This role sits within a major energy infrastructure delivery organisation responsible for executing complex capital and network projects across New South Wales. The position is deeply embedded in project delivery and focused on commercial and contract management through construction and close-out.
You will take ownership of contract administration, commercial risk and contractor engagement across live projects, working alongside Project Managers, Engineers and delivery partners. This is a hands-on commercial and contracts role, suited to someone who has managed contracts in a construction or infrastructure environment rather than a purely legal or advisory setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead commercial and contract management across multiple energy infrastructure projects
* Administer head contracts and subcontracts from award through to final account
* Manage variations, claims, EOTs, commercial negotiations and dispute avoidance
* Partner with Project Managers to control cost, margin, risk and commercial outcomes
* Provide commercial input into procurement strategies and contract award decisions
* Support commercial governance, reporting and executive decision-making
* Engage closely with contractors, consultants and internal delivery teams
About You
* 8–15 years’ experience in commercial and contracts management within infrastructure or energy delivery environments
* Background in construction, engineering, quantity surveying or commercial management
* Strong, practical experience administering contracts during construction phases
* Comfortable managing claims, variations and commercial negotiations with contractors
* Solid understanding of construction risk, cost control and contractual frameworks
* Experience across energy, utilities, transport or major civil projects preferred
