We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Project Engineer Construction who thrives in fast-paced environments. The successful candidate will be comfortable performing a range of tasks from administrative to strategic.
About the Position:
As a Project Engineer Construction, you will assist with planning and programming activities to ensure efficient use of resources and project completion according to safety, environmental, specification, design, and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and manage subcontractors to meet budget, quality, safety, and program requirements.
* Ensure compliance with applicable design standards, QA/QC requirements, and specifications.
* Develop effective and economically viable engineering solutions.
* Foster strong stakeholder relationships to support project goals.
* Collaborate with the Senior Construction Manager and construction team for ETCS L2 project execution.
* Produce and manage ITP (Procore), Excavation Permits, WAB (Work Activity Brief).
* Comply with relevant legislation, including Electrical Safety, Workplace Health and Safety, and Environmental Management.
* Demonstrate full compliance with Health Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements and initiatives.
Skills & Experience:
* Degree in engineering (civil preferred but not essential) or equivalent engineering qualification acceptable for corporate membership of Engineers Australia.
* 2+ years of experience in engineering in rail, civil, or electrical/signaling construction environments (rail preferred).
* Demonstrated competency in implementing Health & Safety initiatives.
* Outstanding planning and organizational skills.
* Demonstrated experience working within a brownfield railway signaling environment (preferred).
* Knowledge of software tools and technical systems.
