The feedlot has a capacity of over 28,000 head and employs around 40 team members. It includes dryland and irrigated farming operations that supply grain, silage, and hay for the cattle.

About the Role
The Caroona Feedlot is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join the Operations team in a newly rescoped role. As HR BP, you will collaborate with feedlot leadership to deliver generalist HR services supporting business objectives, fostering a high-performance culture, and enhancing employee engagement.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Serving as the primary HR contact for the feedlot team throughout the employee lifecycle
* Providing HR advice, coaching, and support to leaders and team members promptly and professionally
* Supporting the implementation of strategic HR initiatives at the group and regional levels
* Managing end-to-end recruitment, branding activities, career fairs, and community engagement events
* Overseeing recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes
* Supporting talent development and succession planning, including the JBS Performance Cycle
* Processing employee variations and data changes via SAP, and issuing relevant documentation to employees and payroll
* Leading workplace investigations and supporting managers with performance management
* Fostering a positive industrial relations environment
* Analyzing HR data (e.g., turnover, absenteeism, workers’ compensation) and providing actionable insights
About You
* Diploma or higher qualification in HR or a related discipline
* At least 5 years of generalist HR experience
* Ability to manage multiple demands effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and efficiency
* Strong attention to detail
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with technology
