The successful candidate will demonstrate proven People Management and Development skills, Commercial Acumen, Extensive Technical skills, and a passion for Customer Service. You will be responsible for elevating your Brisbane South / Central Construction Team to higher levels of development and performance. You must be a true leader capable of managing a building business within our larger organization.
Reporting to the Building Support Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Managing overall construction team performance against key performance indicators.
Providing coaching and assessing the performance of Site Managers on site.
Adhering to Metricon’s building practices and procedures, while seeking continuous improvement.
Maximizing workflow through efficient systems, including trade retention, allocation, and supplier management.
Implementing effective project management with a focus on cost control.
Ensuring trades and suppliers work on each job daily to drive profitability.
Ensuring all homes meet or exceed display home standards as a minimum.
Fostering a work culture where customer experience, teamwork, and staff development are paramount.

The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience as a Construction Manager or an experienced Site Manager ready to step up.
Extensive experience in the volume or boutique home industry, with knowledge of building regulations and standards.
Proven skills in managing trades, suppliers, and project budgets.
Leadership qualities that develop others and foster high performance.
A strong customer service ethic and creative problem-solving skills for technical building issues.
Ability to manage an OH&S program.
A tertiary qualification in Building/Construction or a related discipline is highly desirable.
