Kaizen Recruitment is exclusively supporting an established, ASX-listed investment management group with a global footprint is seeking a Junior Financial Accountant / Accounts Payable professional to join its Melbourne-based finance team. Operating in a regulated financial services environment, the business manages multi-billion-dollar investment strategies on behalf of institutional and private clients and offers a collaborative, high-performing culture with strong development opportunities. About the role: This role plays a key part in supporting the finance function through accurate processing of accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial data analysis. You’ll work closely with senior finance stakeholders to ensure the integrity of financial records and contribute to smooth month-end and year-end processes. Key responsibilities include: Process accounts payable transactions accurately and on time Administer employee expenses via the expense management system Prepare bank, vendor and general ledger reconciliations Assist with month-end and year-end close activities Investigate and resolve discrepancies and variances Maintain accurate creditor records and general ledger coding Review bank balances and ensure adequate funding levels Support audits and respond to finance-related queries Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes To be successful in this role, you will have: Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline CPA or CA (or working towards) advantageous Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role Experience in financial services, asset management, banking or insurance highly regarded A solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes Experience processing high-volume transactions and reconciliations Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Confident communicator with internal and external stakeholders Proactive team player with a collaborative mindset Intermediate Excel skills and experience with accounting systems (preferred but not essential) Full Australian working rights required To learn more about this role, please apply online or contact Callum McWhinnie at Kaizen Recruitment on 0412 123 706 or by emailing callum@kaizenrecruitment.com.au
