About the opportunity:
We’re seeking a proven Infrastructure Engineer to join a small collaborative team managing a complex fleet of on-premise infrastructure systems. This is a broad role covering everything from EUC support through to complex Level 3/4 engineering, giving you full ownership of the environment. You’ll work across day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and project delivery while gaining exposure to new technologies and an upcoming Azure cloud migration.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Providing end-to-end infrastructure support from Level 1 to Level 3/4 engineering.
- Owning the environment across 120 virtual servers, networks, storage, and security tooling.
- Assisting with upcoming projects focused on cloud adoption (Azure) and modernisation.
- Developing knowledge in networking and application technologies (e.g., F5, API).
- Delivering support within core business hours, with flexibility in scheduling and minimal after-hours expectations.
About You:
You will bring:
- Proven experience in a predominantly Microsoft environment (Windows Server administration, patching, monitoring).
- Hands-on exposure to Entra ID (Azure AD) for collaboration, identity, and access management.
- Deep knowledge with VMware virtualisation and NetApp storage solutions (or others) in production environments.
- Working knowledge of Linux (Red Hat) systems and/or willingness to learn
- Robust understanding of security practices, with experience using enterprise security tools such as; CrowdStrike, Mimecast, and Fortinet.
- Ability to troubleshoot across system and network layers with a proactive and methodical approach.
- Calm under pressure and a keen eye for detail and initiative.
