**Your part in our UnitingCare team**As part of our Remote Area Support team (RAFS), the Child and Family Support Worker will be responsible for servicing the Longreach and surrounding areas.Your commitment to the role will explore the dynamics of working with our vulnerable clients in communities focusing on:* Supporting early childhood development, parenting resilience and mobile services to communities.
* Develop and implement programs to strengthen family relationships, implement early intervention and prevention activities.
* Enhance and support increased First Nations/ Multicultural community participation and family functioning.
* Providing information, advice and referral pathways.
* Increase awareness of children's wellbeing and have a holistic approach to supporting early childhood education in alignment with family and child support to nurture children to be fully prepared for learning and life.
* Understanding the role is predominantly delivered in remote locations and resulting in approximately 60% of work hours spent travelling and overnighting in communities.This is a unique opportunity to explore the rural and remote outback of Queensland while visiting children and families on stations, in communities, and learning about rural life.
This is also a great opportunity to work with stakeholders who are committed to supporting families and children to reach their best outcomes.
* Tertiary Qualification or working towards Diploma or higher in Children's services /Counselling/Community Services or similar, or be willing to study* Be a highly motivated and energetic person who has demonstrated experience working with young children and their development, supporting families and communities* Current Queensland driver's license* Blue Card * **Flexible work arrangements** to support work-life balance* **NFP Salary Packaging:** Save tax and increase your take home pay by salary packaging your everyday living expenses and bills (up to $15,900) and meal entertainment (up to $2,650) per annum.
