Overview
I'm looking for a motivated Research Engineer to join our team at Flinders University to deliver an exciting industry project with Oilpath.
Key Qualifications & Skills
* Simulation or digital twins (MATLAB/Simscape, AMESim, etc.)
* Workflow automation or scripting
* Understanding of hydraulic systems
* Problem‑solving and applied engineering in real industry settings
* CAD (SolidWorks/Inventor)
What You'll Do
* Build a prototype digital workflow that automatically generates hydraulic manifold testing protocols from CAD models and circuit diagrams, and validate them using simulation.
* Develop simulation/digital twin models.
* Validate testing protocols.
* Support deployment on the semi‑automated PLC‑driven test rig.
* Prepare documentation and work directly with industry engineers.

* Role: Research Engineer (HEO5 equivalent)
* FTE: 0.8
* Duration: 12 months (Feb 2026 – Jan 2027)
* Location: Tonsley Innovation District, Adelaide
* Supervision: Dr. Amir Zanj
