Join to apply for the Technology Controls Assurance Manager role at Macquarie Group. You’ll join a dynamic and highly motivated team of experienced risk professionals, fostering a strong risk culture and driving innovation.

In this pivotal role, you’ll partner with Macquarie’s businesses to manage Technology Risk while aligning with our Operational Risk Management Frameworks. With global exposure across the UK, US, Asia, and Sydney, you’ll collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders and contribute to the assurance function.

What role will you play?

As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with technology teams and senior business stakeholders to effectively manage Technology Risk in fast‑paced market‑facing environments. You will focus on:

- Addressing risks tied to trading platforms, market‑data systems, and other critical technologies.
- Taking ownership of assurance and control testing activities, including walkthroughs, insightful reports, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proactively identifying operational issues and control breakdowns, providing strategic advice, and preventing future occurrences.
- Leading risk incident investigations to uncover root causes and deliver robust solutions, embedding a proactive risk culture.
- Driving innovation by automating control testing processes with advanced analytics tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, and SQL.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and supporting strategic projects that meet evolving business needs.

What You Offer

- Strong expertise in technology risk, cyber risk management, assurance, or audit, ideally within financial services or professional services.
- Specialized knowledge in managing risks related to trading platforms, market‑data systems, and other specialized technologies.
- Proficiency in process automation, coding, and data‑analytics tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or SQL.
- Exceptional problem‑solving skills, a lateral thinker who can navigate complex situations and grasp abstract concepts.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to lead discussions with business leaders and risk‑management colleagues on emerging issues.
- Highly motivated and adaptable, thriving in dynamic, quick‑paced, and enterprise‑agile environments; prior experience in equities or financial markets is highly regarded.
