Primary objective
Provide high level advice, corporate support, project management and work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders to
contribute to the delivery of strategic and operational priorities for corrections facilities across the NT. Provide a responsive, high
quality and cost-effective facilities management service to internal stakeholders.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as the central contact point for facilities services to support operations of
correctional facilities across the Territory.
2. Assist in the management of repairs and maintenance for correctional facilities.
3. Support the effectively delivery of Department of Correction’s infrastructure program to improve the management and
efficiency of correctional facilities, including providing project management support for significant works.
4. Contribute to the development and review of policies and procedures for the Infrastructure and Facilities team
5. Ensure agency compliance with NT government procurement framework including facilitating low value procurements that are
not managed within existing contracts.
6. Manage the administration requirements, including minutes, invoicing and reporting for the Infrastructure and Facilities division.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated knowledge of the governance frameworks, procurement and administration procedures related to the delivery
of facilities management and infrastructure projects.
2. Excellent organisational skills and demonstrated ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, with the capability and
personal qualities suitable to work in a custodial environment.
3. High level of competency in the use of IT software including word processing, Outlook, spreadsheets and databases, as well as
business systems such as records management (TRM), NTG Pay and JIRA or similar.
4. Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, be flexible and adaptable, use initiative and sound judgement
to manage priorities and deliver quality outcomes in a changing environment with tight deadlines.
5. Demonstrated experience in the development and maintenance of procedures and processes, including to manage ongoing
obligations (reporting, approvals etc) in a contract management or similar environment.
6. Personal qualities that emulate the Department of Corrections values of Skilled Excellence, Integrity, Courage,

Desirable
1. Tertiary qualifications in government procurement, project management, business or a related discipline.
