Salary Range: Base Salary $93,992 - $100,333 per annum + super

Join our team to play a key role in protecting our environment through the effective management of the Yellow Crazy Ant Program.
This role supports the delivery of the TYCAMP through the design, implementation, and evaluation of research, surveillance, and operational methods. The role provides specialised scientific, technical, and analytical expertise to enhance treatment efficacy, improve proactive and post treatment surveillance, optimise lure and sampling methods, ensure regulatory compliance, and strengthen decision making across operational and community engagement teams.
Qualifications And Experience
Ideally you will have:
Degree qualification in natural resource management, environmental science, or equivalent field and substantial experience in environmental project management. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Biosecurity Act 2014 and Regulations, biosecurity strategy and plan implementation. Knowledge of and ability to apply for, maintain and ensure compliance with government permits (including APVMA). Demonstrated knowledge of pest management and wildlife conservation principles, and how sociopolitical pressures impact the environment. Highly experienced in critically reviewing, interpreting and analysing information including legislation, permits, technical reports, standards and policies. Highly developed written communication skills and report writing, including the ability to compile and present accurate and thorough reports. Demonstrated ability to prepare written reports including project evaluations and management plans. Current \"C\" Class Manual licence (essential). Townsville City Council Authorised Person and Local Government Worker accreditation or ability to obtain (essential). First Aid Certificate.
