You'll be part of the Customer Trust and Security crew, protecting customers' money and data through secure, resilient banking experiences.
We focus on payment fraud and scam prevention, privacy controls, and transparent tools that help customers transact safely and confidently.
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer passionate about building impactful products, thriving in a Product Operating Model, and eager to take full ownership of solving real user problems.
You will join a cross-functional, empowered team, collaborating with a Product Owner/Manager and Designer to form the core product trio.
Your role goes beyond coding: you will contribute to ideation, design, implementation, testing, release, and ongoing improvement of our products.
We value a "product engineer" mindset—caring about the product's success and user experience as much as code.
We expect clear communication, proactive collaboration with peers and stakeholders, and demonstration of technical leadership within and beyond the team.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Full-cycle engineering experience: ideation, technical design, build, testing (unit, integration, system), release, and ongoing maintenance.
Actively embraces and integrates AI-driven solutions (LLMs, agentic AI) to enhance engineering workflows and product capabilities.
Executes state-of-the-art coding practices, delivers high-quality outcomes, and minimizes risks.
Engages in continuous learning, experimentation, and innovation; contributes to defining and governing our standards and best practices.
Thinks outside the box, breaks boundaries, and solves complex technical problems.
Coaches junior engineers, shares knowledge, and uplifts software development practices.
Collaborates effectively in teams, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Tech Skills
Programming: C# or Python
Frontend: React, Angular, or similar
AWS Cloud: Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, ElastiCache
Event Streaming: Kafka/MSK, SQS/SNS queuing and notifications
RESTful API design & management, OAuth/JWT for authentication & authorisation
Databases: DynamoDB, RDS, schema optimisation
Documentation: OpenAPI/Swagger for API specifications
DevSecOps practices and tooling: GitHub Actions, SonarQube, Jira, Snyk, AppDynamics, Confluence, Cucumber, ServiceNow
Nice to have: AI build tools/assistant (Roo Code, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cline), Testing Automation (AI-generated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests)
