About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Solicitor to join our dynamic legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently admitted solicitor to develop their skills across a broad range of legal practice areas and gain valuable experience in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Principal Solicitor with matters across various practice areas
* Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex legal issues
* Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and correspondence
* Attend client meetings and provide preliminary legal advice under supervision
* Manage your own files with appropriate supervision and support
* Maintain accurate file records and ensure compliance with practice management systems
* Participate in business development activities and client relationship management
* Meet billing targets and maintain accurate time records
Essential Requirements
* Admission to practice as a solicitor in NSW
* Strong academic record
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Contribute to the productive culture of the firm
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
* Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
Desirable Criteria
* Practical legal experience through clerkships or internships
* Experience with legal research databases (such as LexisNexis)
* Understanding of Leap practice management software
