The Location - Buderim Views is a 118 Bed Residential Aged Care home located in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast.
The Role
The Care Services Assistant plays a pivotal role with a particular focus on nutrition and dining, Assisting in the preparation, delivery, presentation and serving of resident meals. Your responsibilities will be to provide care and support aligned with residents preferred daily routines with a strong focus on:
* Support residents through person‑centred care with a focus on nutrition and dining
* Prepare, set up, and maintain dining areas to meet individual needs and preferences
* Support resident meal choices, timing, and dietary requirements
* Follow food safety standards, allergies, and food intolerances
* Enhance the dining experience through empathy, kindness, and social engagement
* Assist with dining room and kitchen duties, cleanliness and stock management
To be successful, you will have:
* Previous restaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded)
* Demonstrated customer service skills
* Willingness to take direction from others
* Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
* Clear, respectful and professional communication skills essential
* Clean and tidy personal presentation
Mandatory for compliance
* Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
* Willingness to complete a Police Clearance
