PRASAT ENTERPRISES PTY LTD T/a Stellarossa Earlville (located at Shop 33/537 Mulgrave Rd, Earlville QLD 4870) is currently seeking an experienced Chef to join their team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook the food with special dietary requirements.
* Prepare food according to the menu and make sure every item is available.
* Manage food costs and portion control to maximise profitability while maintaining quality.
* Plan and develop menus, including weekly specials, in consultation with the Director/Restaurant Manager.
* Supervise and coordinate kitchen operations during service periods.
* Train, supervise trainees and other kitchen staff.
* To efficiently manage stock, conduct stock takes and put FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation.
* Follow correct portion size.
* Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes.
* Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food storage to minimise waste.
* Demonstrate advanced cooking techniques and equipment to staff.
* Liaise with Restaurant Manager regarding functions and special requirements.
* Garnishing and presentation of food.
* Ensure compliance with food safety standards and WHS regulations.
Applicants must hold a Certificate IV relevant to AQF and have at least one year of experience in similar role.
A salary of $77,000 - $80,000 will be offered the the successful candidate.
