About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Electrical Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is integral in supporting the design, operation, and maintenance of our cutting‑edge electrical systems and facilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake electrical engineering maintenance, repairs and safety.
* Assemble, install, test, commission, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment and machinery using hand and power tools.
* Perform tests, fault finding, reduce downtime eliminating by technical support and fault finding of mechanical issues throughout the shift.
* Inspect electrical systems and components to detect hazards, defects, and necessary adjustments or repairs, ensuring adherence to safety codes.
* Implement, manage, and maintain PLC systems (basic programming where required) for associated equipment.
* Explain technical information and concepts to non-technical users.
Qualifications
* At least 2‑3 years' relevant experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
Skills and Abilities
* Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
* Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
* Strong time management, organisation, and investigative skills.
* Sound knowledge of regulatory and safety standards in electrical engineering.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
* Strong understanding of key competencies in circuits, analog and digital electronics, electronic materials, controls and automation, power and machinery and technical documentation.
* Basic PLC & VSD drive experience, Mex CMMS operations or similar.
* Root cause investigation & practical problem‑solving skills.
