Warehouse Assistant Job
Your role will be to manage the receipting and distribution of incoming goods. You will be responsible for picking, packing and despatching orders to internal customers throughout the region.
The Position
* Acceptance and checking of goods received at our Distribution Centre.
* Assist with the unloading of goods when required using appropriate materials handling aids/equipment.
* Check incoming goods against the courier's running sheet or consignment notes for details, quantity and condition.
* Ensure deliveries are correct relating to quantity, quality and specification, conforming to the details on the Purchase Order.
* Accurately record orders in our supply system and process/filing paperwork/documentation such as packing slips/invoices and receipt reports.
* Segregate direct supply items from inventory items for priority dispatch to our Hospital.
* Deliver goods received to the inventory locator within the Distribution Centre, unpacking, checking before placing into the nominated location.
* Rotate stock to ensure first in, first out (FIFO) and/or nearest expiry date.
* Handle and store goods correctly to comply with clinical and infectious control standards.
Hospital Operations
* Acceptance and checking of goods received at the Hospital Supply Store.
* Assist with the unloading of goods when required using appropriate materials handling aids/equipment.
* Check incoming goods against the courier's running sheet or consignment notes for details, quantity and condition.
* Distribute direct supply goods to wards & departments within the Hospital.
* Accurately record orders in our supply system and process/filing paperwork/documentation such as packing slips/invoices and receipt reports.
* Adhere to scanning and replenishment procedures.
* Order Imprest supplies for wards & departments within the Hospital campus using a scanning device to record required quantities.
* Deliver Imprest orders to wards & departments within the Hospital campus to replenish stock.
* Maintain store, receiving and despatch bays and other work areas in a clean, tidy & safe condition.
* Cleaning of vehicles, equipment, fixtures and shelving, floor areas, distribution tubs, trolleys and manual handling devices.
* Assist in ensuring correct display, storage and security of inventory.
* Physical counting and recording of stock as per the stock-take policy and procedure as directed.
