Our Healthcare Solutions form a critical part of delivering enterprise patient care and business productivity.As our business continues to grow, we’re seeking an experienced SQL & Database Specialist who has solid Testing/QA Experience with strong SQL scripting and database administration skills to join our collaborative, high-impact team.The RoleYou’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our healthcare applications. You’ll be embedded in a cross-functional team, working closely with developers and product owners to deliver robust systems.This role combines hands-on testing with advanced SQL and database validation, management and maintenance, ideal for someone who enjoys getting deep into the data and understanding system behaviour from the inside out.You will have a high level of initiative and good problem-solving aptitude, be goal and results orientated and a colleague who enjoys a challenge.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain database versions and control. Track issues and document system changes.Support developers with query optimisation and schema enhancements.Maintain High Availability databases and database backups, optimal database performance, availability and security.Identify and resolve issues in timely manner to keep systems running smoothly.Offer solutions and recommendations for improvements and optimisation.Create, manage and optimise Power BI/Dashboard reporting in on-premise environments.Design and execute test plans and test cases based on business and technical specifications.Carry out functional testing of end-user software applications and identify, report, and track software defects and data anomalies.Participate in regression, performance, and integration testing activities as required by the product or project teams.Work closely with DEV and Service teams to facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and end-user support.Collaborate with developers and support engineers to troubleshoot issues and verify fixes.Participate in evolving company QA policies relevant to development, testing and deployment.Required Skills & ExperienceExperience in data reporting and analysis, and standardisation, with strong database design and SQL Server development skills.Exposure to testing/QA in a software development environment.Attention to detail and good documentation skills.Experience testing API services and batch processes.Strong SQL scripting skills – able to write complex queries, joins, stored procedures.Solid experience with Database Administration and high degree of experience with Microsoft SQL Server database installation, support and maintenance.
