Join Swan Materials as a Batcher / Despatcher and take charge of daily operations to ensure smooth production, efficient deliveries, and exceptional customer service.
In this hands-on role, you will oversee batching, scheduling, and stock control while coordinating with nearby plants to meet customer needs and maintain quality standards. You will lead and train drivers and loader operators, manage rosters, and ensure plant maintenance, product quality, and safety are consistently upheld.
We are looking for a proactive, safety-minded individual with strong communication skills and experience in concrete batching or similar operations.

Key Responsibilities:
* Meet customer needs and coordinate with nearby plants for efficient delivery.
* Manage stock levels for cement, aggregates, additives, and supplies.
* Allocate trucks to optimise efficiency and control overtime.
* Supervise and roster drivers and loader operators.
* Ensure concrete quality, accurate batching, and plant cleanliness.
* Maintain and promote safety standards and procedures.
What you will need to succeed:
* Batching / concrete experience or within similar operations
* Strong communication skills with the ability to oversee and motivate a team
* Proven ability to meet targets, manage time effectively, and make sound decisions under pressure.
* Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and confident with reporting and documentation.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and a flexible, proactive approach to work.
* Solid understanding of health and safety requirements, including permits, lockout/tag-out, Take 5s, inductions, and safety documentation.
