About the Role:
Our R&D and Government Incentives team is expanding, and we're looking for a Manager to join our community of solvers. The R&D team brings together a diverse group of professionals passionate about helping eligible businesses self-assess and apply for the R&D tax incentive program, as well as access other government grants.
Collaborating with colleagues, you will assist clients in sectors like manufacturing, engineering, biotech, agriculture, technology, mining, and energy to access the R&D Tax Incentive program and other grants. This involves identifying, evaluating, and documenting R&D activities, calculating expenditures, analyzing technical details against legislative criteria, identifying risks, reviewing work, and preparing applications and schedules. The role involves significant interaction with clients' management, operational, and finance teams.

- Strong communication skills for verbal scoping and leading discussions
- Critical thinking and judgment on technical and commercial issues
- Effective time and task management to meet deadlines
- People skills for working with consultants and providing feedback
Impact Indicators:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
- Effective project management ensuring timely and thorough completion of tasks
- Experience with R&D Tax Incentive applications, preferably from Big 4 or mid-tier teams
- Degree in law, accounting, science, engineering, technology, mathematics, or software development
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment
